RYA Dinghy Instructor Courses
This course normally runs Monday to Friday and covers the RYA teaching method and develops personal sailing skills. Experienced sailors must have all the pre requisites prior to attending the course.
Should you require any of the pre-requisites, we run them the week prior to the course.
2 Week Fast Track Dinghy Instructor Course
For sailors with some experience we recommend our 2 week fast track option. This not only includes the pre-requisites but also 5 extra days of sail tuition to bring your skills up to speed. The 2 week fast track option is great value for money even for experienced sailors.
Pre Requisites (inc in 2 week fast track)
You must have all of the following to sit the RYA Dinghy Instructor course:
Valid first aid certificate
Powerboat Level 2
Pre entry assessment
Be 16 years or over
In addition to this you must have RYA membership, and own a G14 Coaching handbook and G7 Coaching logbook. There are available to buy at the Galloway Activity Centre.
