A Galloway Activity Centre Instructor running a power boat Instructor course on Loch kenThis is an intensive 3 day course testing not only your boat handling skills but technical knowledge of navigation, vhf use and engine maintenance.

The RYA powerboat Instructor course is a widely recognised qualification that will open many doors within the industry.

On completion of this course you will be qualified to teach up to RYA powerboat Level 2.  Candidates may also teach RYA safety boat providing they have the safety boat qualification.

To attend the Powerboat Instructor course you must have the following;

Minimum age:16 years
RYA Powerboat level 2 certificate & Powerboat Instructor skills assessment
RYA First aid certificate (or similar)
At least 5 seasons part-time or 1 seasons full time experience of powerboat handling

 

Course Programme
The course is run over three days, with an assessment on the final day.  Those attending must have completed a pre-assessment prior to the course.  We also run a first aid prior to the pre-assessment, so you can come a do them all at once.  A detailed daily programme will be issued on your arrival to the centre.
