We offer range of courses to further develop your skills on flat water.  For juniors we follow the BCU (British Canoe Union) Paddlepower Discover Award and for adults, the Paddlesport two star and three star awards.  For these courses we recommend our 1,2, 3, or 5 day short courses.  These usually run during the week but may also be run at weekends.

Progression sessions and bespoke clinics are also available should you have a particular skill you wish to focus on.  Our instructors will give you all the help and tuition you require and get you rolling in no time!

Junior Intermediates (Paddlepower Discover award)
This course follows on from the passport award and takes young paddlers up to the equivalent of 2 star.

This junior scheme is for children under the age of 12, we would recommend after that, crossing over to the adult scheme.

Again there is no set time to this course, we recommend a 1, 2, 3 or 5 day course in which time we will push forward your skills and sign up more of your log books.  These courses are run during the weeks and at weekends subject to demand.

Adult Intermediate (Paddlesport two star)
Paddlesport 2 star in an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water.  The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and understanding how the paddle, boat and water interact, with the aim of becoming a more efficient paddler.

We recommend a 1, 2, 3, or 5 day course in which time we will develop your skills as far as possible, for those who select the 5 day option we often finish the week off with a river trip on the R. Dee.  This will give you a taste of the white water fun which lies ahead in the Advanced 3 star award.
