an RYA powerboat course being deliverd on Loch Ken in South West ScotlandThe RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Powerboat Level 1 & 2 is normally combined into a 2 day course, which provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat.  It is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (Inland).

The course covers topics such as close quarter manoeuvres, man overboard recovery, high speed handling, basic maintenance and navigation.  It gives you a solid understanding to leave you confident to enjoy powerboating in a safe and responsible manner.

For anybody who wishes to proceed in outdoor activities as an instructor, the Powerboat Level 2 course is pre requisite to all of the RYA Instructor courses.

We generally run these courses at weekends and also in conjunction with our Fast Track Instructor courses.  We can also run these during the week subject to demand.
