At the Galloway Activity Centre we offer multi hull sailing for all levels of ability.

For those inclined to learn in a multi hulls (catamarans'), we can run RYA (Royal Yachting Association) courses as per the adult syllabus.  This is particularly useful should you be thinking of taking up sailing or purchasing a multi hull dinghy.

A multi hull dinghy is very different to the more conventional hull shapes.  It requires different techniques and skills.

You will learn how to control and turn the boat.  At a more advanced levels you will learn to go faster using your apparent wind.

In our new Dart 16XD you will learn to trapeze in a harness and fly the asymmetric spinnaker.  In higher wind the windward hull will lift as you increase your speed across the water.  This can and usually results in sailors getting a little wet!

Multi Hull Instructor Endorsements
For RYA Dinghy Instructors we offer the Mull Instructor Endorsement.  This will give you the skills and knowledge to teach the RYA syllabus from a multi hull dinghy.
